BTW ... $4,040 on the Stillen site for both kits. What sort of deal would be do-able do you think? pm's ok for sure. A few questions for the thread though ... apologies if some are answered already.
a) how well do they work with the ABS system? Any issues?
b) will they fit without spacers on the stock 19" sport wheels (suspension is stock, except some sway bar upgrades coming)?
c) any feedback on the front/rear balance on a stock system? Don't want to be lengthening my stopping distance over the stock brakes ...
d) are any other upgrades required to the rest of the braking system to run these?

Thanks!

a) No issues with ABS. If you are at a track that triggers the dreaded "ice mode", the AP upgrade will not make matters worse. Some have reported a reduction in this occurrence, but none have reported the kits making it worse.
b) They fit the OE Sport 19" (Rays) wheels without a spacer.
c) Front/rear balance is optimized for maximum deceleration at all four wheels while retaining driveability.
d) Only other upgrade part needed is "the nut behind the wheel". In other words, track time and driver training. These brakes will allow you to make a better driver out of yourself, but they are not a magic bullet. Only time behind the wheel with qualified instruction will get you to the next level.

Thanks ... the nut behind the wheel does OK on track day :) Just got to get used to wild Canadian conditions I think is the bigger issue here. There's a LOT less sunshine here. ;)
Thanks for the input.

Which 18's do you have? Have you physically checked the templates? I ask because most 18's fit the 6-piston kit with decent clearance.

The 4-piston, 13" kit is pretty tough, but we could assemble one for you with rotors that are more durable for serious track use (different iron technology). The cost would be slightly higher. Talk to your reseller/installer for details and tell them they need to call Stillen for pricing. This would be a special kit, but an easy one to do as all parts are on the shelf. We can also upgrade the kit to Mintex F3R race pads, one of the best track pads currently available.

I have the stock 03 350Z stock rays rear wheels all around, but they are widened and have a 1/8" bead running the inner circumference.

that shouldn't be a problem though, as it doesn't interfere with my brembo GT calipers unless I have a spacer on, so its on the back side of the wheel. I tried the template and it didn't seem to fit. Thats why I got the brembos, but also because there was no template for the brembo upgrade I got, and they were reported to fit on stock 370 18s. I had to shave a little off the ends of the calipers to get them to clear, and they still trap small rocks between the wheel and caliper.

Just reviving this thread because it's got good customer feedback as well as good answers to FAQs. Is there anyone seriously interested in a group buy purchase on a set of AP Racing BBK? I've been in contact with Josh at Stillen and would be willing to pursue this to reality if there was genuine interest.

Depends on the price, brotha. The problem with group buys is that vendors always want to know the number of customers before offering the deal. The 'right' way to do it is like Groupon. They offer the deal at $X if Y people commit. Then either enough people join in to make it happen or it just fizzles out. Group buys on this site have all this finagling planning stuff for really no good reason. "It could be a reality if there is genuine interest..." So Stillen needs to start a thread, offer the group buy, and see if people are committing with deposits. Then they can say it's a go or no-go.

I know that this post is about 2 months old, but if there's a group buy count me in.

Been talking to josh the last couple days. With that said group buy is in the works right now just waiting on price. He is going to the VP to get the best price possible so standby for it because it is looking like a offer that can't be refused.
