hey just received my Eibach springs (the .8/.9) for my Nismo and i installed the rears perfect but the front i couldn't get the install them into the shock...don't know

eibach springs
hey just received my Eibach springs (the .8/.9) for my Nismo and i installed the rears perfect but the front i couldn't get the install them into the shock...don't know where to compress them from and it seems like i have the compress the hell out of it...any one have any advise or pictures?

a lot of people say they have to end up bringing the car to a shop to compress the front springs. You do need to compress the hell out of it and many dont have the supplies to do so so they go to a shop or rent a good enough spring compressor.

You need to use a spring compressor. You can borrow one from autozone. And use an impact wrench to break the top nut loose. Be careful because the spring is under a lot of pressure.

Oops. lol. Shouldn't it be easier considering it is shorter than the stock spring???

Yeah it was pretty tough installing the fronts. Luckily I kept my hydraulic strut spring compressor from when I owned a shop.

Also be careful releasing the top nut. If you spin the shock shaft too much it could potentially damage the shock.

Also never use anything to hold the shaft. (vice grips, pliers, ext..) Any damage to to the shaft left by the tool will mess up the seals.
