I think they are brembo's made for Nissan.....sorta like sony make most of electronics..
However thats not important. Its the pads. they are high friction pads.....replace them with ceramics....as i've already said. And you dust issue will disappear. Perhaps someone should bring a Nismo 350 and the present 370z sport brake setups together....and i think you'll see a remarkable resemblance. Maybe not exact..but thats how they do it...you think Nissan made these brakes....they are outsourced , and since Brembo is the biggest brake whore around.....i'd bet theve even been restamped nissan.....but are in fact brembos and upon didassembly you'll find a bremo stamp. best stopping brakes made by Nissan....lol |

Same here, only a few hundred miles. When I changed the brakes on my 03 350Z the first time, I switched to ceramics and waxed the wheels while I had them off---made a world of difference.

Yeah , they are good damn brakes....i assumed they were brmbo's by the almost identical distances from the 08 nismo to te 09 370z.....
They do the trick... but don't you forget....the ies also make a world of difference... I put MPS on the Vette and ....whoa new car. I like the Bridgstones....but i fear non enthusiast willl not like the 10k mile maybe life expectancy.....if you really drive. ceramics is the answer here.....and while you at it drop in some high boil point fluid..and have it bled... Since the car overheats .....anywhere i could save fluids from overheating i would.. |

Yeah i've noticed that about some factory German cars......i was looking at a slick 55 Benz intraffic thinking those black rims look good...then it passed me and the rears were silver and clean.....lol i then noticed this on 2 other cars.
obviously the pad material is to blame. On the Bridestones....I was using it under extreme circumstances with a HP enriched car. Actually given their period n the car...( traded them over for BFG new style Drag radials) they didn't seem to wear that much..... and they had well over 3800lbs and over 500 hp to deal with. I can't rave enough about these" nissan" brakes. My first mod on every car is brake upgrade...always a smart move. Safty first. i beleive this issue is solved....do put in the best brake fluid while your at it. trust me. My .2 cents |

The European manufacturers tend to go with a softer pad which yields more dust. Porsche and BMW feel that it would be wrong to fit a sports car with pads designed around reducing dust on the wheels. The perception of 'most' of the buyers in the U.S. market is that pad dust is bad.

even with the dust.......it wipes right off if you caught it early on....if its black you might need some soap and water.... (meaning a couple of days a- a weeks worth of buildup)
Just get into the habit of wiping them down after a days drive.....thats what i initially did. this is best done dry . but with the advancements in pad material you don't have to have excessive dust. or give up that excellent braking . My other Z has 6 pot brembo's up front...and it was horribly black after a day of driving.....my cheif mechanic says all Zo6 do this...so i switched to a comprable ceramic pad..Nothing quite like a clean car. Now minimal dust. So i did th same on the 370 hell all my cars have ceramic pads. Perhaps the germans wash there cars more often. But safety is first.
