best spring to buy for lowering and ride qualituy

post links or chime in. Also, is just springs the cheap way to do things, is coilovers/ camber kit the right way. do just springs have longevity? Huge rookie here

Huge rookie here and my dad doesnt really want me messing with the suspension. says its engeneered from factory a "specific" way but springs are cheap and drop my var for like 250 uninstalled.

Somoene wanna help me. AM i juast gonnna eat through tires with just springs

Need something to work well with stock shocks

Your dad is right. When you change one parameter in the suspension you need to compensate another parameter...or pretend its ok. Unless you hate the ride height just keep it the way it is.

As for springs only setup I think people are happy with the prokit, H&R, and
Swift. Highly recommend you get atleast the rear canned kit and an alignment. I don't foresee lowering this car...but I would like to tighten it down with some yellows....

Springs aren't a cheap way out. The car came with springs from the factory. Just stick with a quality, proven brand. For our cars that puts you at Eibach, H&R, and Swift. All of these lower the car enough that a camber kit would be recommended if you don't want to chew through tires.

Quality springs (Eibach, H&R, Swift) and a good camber kit (SPC, SPL, Eibach) will last as long as you need them too and keep you from having issues with tires.

Disclaimer: I may have missed a few brands. No knock on them, I'm just going off the top of my head.

so springs with no camber causes chewing through tires? no chance it wont? Bc i just dropped 600 on new tires, hate for them to wear faster than say 15,000 miles

You'll need:

Spring Installation: $150 ($200 book price)
Front camber arms: $250
Installation of camber arms: $90
Alignment: $70

Your cheap springs will cost you $800 in the end, and that's not even counting after market rear camber/toe arms. Without those you'll be able to get -2.0 rear camber at best, which is good for track performance but not for tire wear.

Swift springs don't seem to need camber kits. None for me.

depends on the drop. With coilovers is a must if you drop it below stock height.

Yes you should just to be on the safe side. Firestone has a lifetime alignment as long as you own the car.
