please keep in mind that the tires in front are different in width when comping the drop, the wider 275/35/19 in front may affect the gap compared to that of the 245/40/19.

Thats true, but if you measure the rim to fender arch you can see the H&R's are indeed closer in the fronts than in the rear...

I see that there are a lot of views in favor for swift, which isn't a bad thing, but I would like to mention that h&r's are a good spring that go well with stock shocks. Many people on here have them and love them aesthetically. The only reason many switch is because many, such as myself go lower after several months of ownership. But for the price and having the lowest available drop with a slightly stiffer spring rate goes well with the 370z.

My take on it is that the springs are going to be on the car for the life of me owning it anyways, so what is another 50-100 dollars. We own a 370Z. I dont think the price difference is enough to sway from one brand to another. I do agree though the drop on the H&R looks good too.
In my opinion these two brands are in separate categories. I believe Swift springs are for those who are looking for more of an improvement in handling but aren't interested in purchasing coilovers. In other words the price of the springs is not just for the drop but for the amount of research and development placed into the creation of both springs. If you want to look good on a budget, go with the H&Rs...but if you want to track on a budget go with the Swifts. |

I understand the performance part on the swift springs, but it can't be that great just throwing them on a factory strut? I am sure one of these days there will be aftermarket shocks and struts, but once that happens people who want the most performance will buy both and then be sitting next to coilover prices with half the adjustments.

Performance wise there is a significant difference. These springs were designed around the valving range of the stock struts. Of course aftermarket performance struts would only improve the setup considering it would do so even with the stock springs.
And 400 is pretty much MSRP. Swift Spec-R Springs 370Z 08+ They are selling it for 335, and Im sure the price can still be haggled from there. |
