Swift springs review!!!!!

Stock the car sits 27.8" front and 28" rear so these springs are indeed offering a ~1.2" drop front and 1" rear....

Nice! I sent an inquiry to them regarding the G37x sedans... I have been planning on some BC coilovers, but that would really be overkill for me.

I'm going nuts, I want these springs so bad but I can't lower my car because my stock exhaust scrapes on my driveway on my way out unless I exit the ~70 degree narrow climb somewhat sideways...If there's someone in the passenger seat that doesn't help either.

I'm wondering if my logic on this is correct though, I'm currently riding on the Enkei stock 18s, if I purchase the 19" Rays or 19" Nismos and get the swift springs I should drop an inch and raise an inch in diameter right? I should have the same clearance I have now...I'm not crazy right?

You're wrong, as you get bigger wheels, you get lower tires.
Rolling diameter should stay close to the same.

Correct, when referring to the rear:

Base 18's: diameter (245/45/18) = 26.7"
Rays 19's: diameter (275/35/19) = 26.6"

You will actually be 0.1" lower on the 19's

Since my thread got bumped up I guess I should do an ongoing review. The springs still ride awesome, and in fact I have been to a few track days now, and I can honestly say that I cant ask for anything more from these springs. They feel great. I know I posted up that they drive really neutral on the track but I just went to the track while it was raining over the weekend. The cool thing about this was that because the track was really slick it was very easy to feel the pitching motions of the vehicle at its limit. In the rain the car is so easily controlled with the throttle. My car ended up clocking one of the fastest times at the track in the rain. This is in a rear wheel drive vehicle! I was off my normal time by about 10 seconds or so but my car is having no where near as hard of a time in the rain than most of the other guys on the track. What I remember feeling through a corner was that during corner entry the vehicle would slightly pitch sideways and I would set the angle of the vehicle's slip angle and then through the entire corner I would drive through using the accellerator to make fine adjustments. There is no twitchiness, instability, or excessive amount of over or understeer.

I understand that most people buy these springs for the drop and imo the drop is perfect.
but the reason why I bought these springs in the first place is not because of the drop or anything like that, it is the most affordable feelable suspension upgrade one can get. I couldnt be happier.

I really have to take more pictures at these events. I have a few pictures floating around on this forum but apparently not in this thread. So here are newer pictures but nothing has changed.

Default Swift Springs Review

These springs are supposedly the best performance springs available and yet have been reported to ride more comfortably than the stock springs while being called "junior coil overs." I had a hard time believing this initially, but they were worth every penny.

Quality of the Springs: I was honestly a bit disappointed that the springs came powder coated black rather than the beautiful metallic blue color that is advertised on their website but the coat is even and looks very durable. Compared to the stock springs, these look very beefy and much more substantial which I thought was a plus.

Lowering Observations: The kit is supposed to lower the car 1" in the rear and 1.2" in the front to give the car a nice, slightly more aggressive pose. Once the car was settled off the lift and received an alignment, the ride height was already at the marketed drop so I expect it to go a little lower as the springs settle. The drop is very even front and rear and is the perfect look in my opinion: not too low but not too conservative.

Driving Impressions: this was what interested me the most, I had a hard time understanding how this spring can perform so much better (increased spring rate) but be more comfortable than stock. It depends on your definition of comfortable, but it did improve ride quality in a few areas: large freeway bumps, undulations and overpass rises felt much better as the car just felt more planted and settled during and after the undulations. It also had less of a bounding motion. That said, the ride is firmer and was immediately noticeable as soon as I hit the road. It is not a harsh firmness, but it feels much more positive and controlled which is exactly what I was looking for.

I took it through Malibu canyon roads such as Mulholland on my way back from the shop and the car felt PERFECT. There was no noticeable body roll, and steering response as well as turn in felt much more precise and direct. The car was balanced perfectly between the Stillen sway bar set to the firmest setting in the rear and the spring rates, there was no hint of understeer and I felt like I could finally effectively control the car using throttle. Mid corner bumps did not unsettle the car or give a lurching sensation like the stock springs did and it felt suitably firm at higher speeds which kept the car feeling planted.

All in all, I am very very happy with these springs. Here are a whole bunch of pictures in case anyone is interested, both before and after.

I already have some spacers on order, I think the drop and spacers will make the most out of the base 18s until I find some new rims. I can't wait for the run either, these runs are one of the things I look forward to the most!

What brand/size spacers did you order? I'm thinking of ordering the same springs and ordering spacers for my base as well.
