I would say your criteria does not match the spring/shock combo you picked. That does not mean the Koni's plus Swift's won't be an amazing combo for autocross/racing. Koni's combined with many spring manufacturers these days make for a very strong weekend track car. You can't beat the value of the Koni shocks. I've owned a set on my Rx8 that I recently sold and plan to go back to them as soon as possible. Not to mention the factory shocks have this Bouncy characteristic to them at high speeds that I feel is on the verge of being extremely dangerous. Any track junky should get the stock shocks replaced as soon as possible or risk upsetting the car at high speed going over uneven pavement.

I have my Koni's sitting here awaiting install, ordered them as soon as they were released. I dont expect the Koni/Swift combo to be anything but brilliant.

from what I hear from my customers, it all seems to come down to what people want out of their Z. The Swift/Koni setup is more performance less comfort so it makes sense why some don't like it, but I'd say its probably the best setup for performance without getting coilovers. It's not for everyone though

Telephone, I hear ya man and agree with your impressions of Koni/swift combo. I was also disappointed in Koni/h&r combo. I like my spirited back canyons and hope some day soon to test drive a buddy who has the Koni/swift combo. I have about 20k miles on my swift/oem combo and love the DD ride and especially the performance in the canyons. So why don 't I replace with oem and call it a day? Because I have heard over and over how great Koni is with aftermarket springs and have the opportunity to test out the combo without having to make the same mistake twice at 400 increase over oem. Thumbs up and keep me posted on further impressions.

Question for you guys, does it matter what size wheels you let these springs settle on with? I'm on 18's now but will be getting 19's in about 6 weeks. Should I get my springs installed now with the 18's or would it be better if I wait until I get my new wheels or will it not even matter?
