Not here, I have been out of spec for the last 15k miles which is probably how I was able to get 26k off the OEM 050 tires. And that was running performance settings over tire life settings. Spacers...haha...a change of mind. What I am interested in seeing from members probably more so than the drop photos IS the alignment specs. This will give prospective buyers of the Swift springs an idea if they will need ANY kind of camber kits, be it front or rears. Of course that would depend on the driving style and preference along with a major decision to run with a setup for performance or run with a setting for tire life. Quote:

It will take some miles for them to settle in. OEM Stock height is: Fr 27.87 & Rr 27.99 Swift drop would take them to: Fr 26.67 & Rr 26.99 |

Alignment spec sheets
Ok here are both alignment spec sheets for PG and Red. Note both cars are twins with identical mods. Also the alignment sheet is broken into halves, the top half is "Before Measurements" and bottom half is "Current Measurements" or after adjustment. Alignment done on Hunter Rack.
Obviously the fronts on the PG are wild with the difference between left and right being a 0.5 difference. This is where I would say not everyone is going to have this large of a difference. Notice the Red spec sheet, there is only 0.1 difference between left and right. The rears on both PG and Red are fully adjustable with rear camber kits and toe bolts installed. I can dial in just about any toe and camber. I will probably run with this toe setting for front and back and see how tire wear is after a few thousand miles. I will want to try next time around for a toe of 0.2 Fr and 0.0 Rr. This current setting will give me a bit more tire life with the large positive toe settings. The first setting I had on the PG was the Rr camber at -1.6 & -1.5 which felt real slow turning in. Hence the staggered difference with more negative camber up Front -1.2 & -1.7 and then in Rear -1.0 & -1.1 provided much quicker steering response and turn in. I would have preferred up front with -1.3 to -1.5 BUT after two tries on the alignment rack and they did settle after the first alignment (one weeks worth of driving at about 120 miles). I am faced with this large difference in negative camber between front right and front left. A control arm will fix this, but will have to wait at $500 a pop per car. . Im guessing the car will sit lower with a wider tire do to les sidewall, and the ride quality will suffer slightly correct? Performance wise though, the wider tire is usually better correct? |

Swifts are installed. Not a bad job at all. Took the front struts to a friend's shop and used their wall mounted "Strut-Tamer". Initial thoughts... Look great and feel great. Lots of benefit with no sacrafice.
Thanks to Swift and KamiSpeed! Definately one of my best "bang for the buck" mods ever.

Thanks! Now we know for sure they work well on the vert.
My schedule is tight for the next couple of weeks so I will do spacers and get an allignment when things slow down.

BeachZTT, I reconize the white box in your driveway, it's the fun box! The Roadster's stance just got a hella lot better looking.
In for photos of your alignment spec sheet! |

I think after a while everyone on this site will sell/trade their other springs and jump on the Swift train.

When I first saw the 370Z convertible I thought it looked terrible. And now I know why: because it sits awkward as hell from the factory (especially with the standard, poorly offset wheels). And now that I've been meeting and seeing guys with dropped verts?
Good Lord am I in absolute love. My opinion has completely changed - it's beautiful! |
