Hey,

Question, not sure if I would lower since the roads around my way are pretty bad, but which of the swift springs do most people buy? I see they offer a few different types but would it be Sport or Spec R Springs? Can anyone tell me how they ride compared to stock nismo springs? I dont mind the stiffness but i wouldnt want to lose any performance of course...

AlphaSnacks 12-21-2011 03:43 PM

They're one in the same for 370Zs.

KingZee 12-21-2011 03:45 PM

Yeah, swift only makes one type of spring for the 370 and it's a great ride. Smooth enough to be on a stock car...You should read some of this thread, a lot of additional input and reviews on the ride.

I got them from Amplified Motorsports, talk to Lou for a great deal...they'll install it for you as well for a great price.

weird how some people claim their camber/toe are in spec, and some post up to -3.5 degrees. What exactly is causing that much variation?

Seems it's almost worth it to order camber arms and toe bolts with the springs. Then again, at that cost you're in about $600 with an alignment for not such a huge drop.

Swifts spring is not built for "dropping" it is a PERFORMANCE FIRST spring. Looks were secondary to Swift when making this spring. Now I dont know the exact numbers off the top of my head but I know I did not need a camber kit. My alignment didnt get back to stock specs but I know it was close. I have noticed no excess tire wear at all.

Kami Speed FTW, great customer service, best pricing + no tax, even for Cali peeps.

I get that it is a performance spring and such, but you would have to be fooling yourself if you think the majority of the people that ordered these springs didn't get them for looks.

When they first came out, one of the big factors people were pushing was no need for a camber kit with the added bonus of a spring that rides better than stock. Look through this thread and see how many people made a special mention that they didn't need a camber kit with this springs.

Don't get me wrong, when I decide I want to install them, I will be ordering swifts (although, since I am not a track driver, I am now considering H&R's if I have to buy a camber kit for the swifts as well). I just found it odd that some people are fine without and in spec, and some people are way the ef out of it.

KaienZ34 12-22-2011 09:01 AM

Stock camber is -1.7 and after swifts -2.4, camber kit is not a must be a good idea.

Footloose301 12-22-2011 09:04 AM

Haha^^

I wish those were my specs after swifts. I was at -3.5 on one side and -3.7 on the other. I bought camber arms and they were able to get it to -1.2 on both sides. The fronts were at -1.4 I think
