Nismo needs Camber Kit
 

Gentlemen, I put my Swifts on a few months ago, but due to a hectic work schedule, never got around to driving the car much after the first few weeks. I am back in action and recently got an alignment done. Check out the print out for more detail, but long story short, the Nismo DOES need a rear camber kit. The front could use a camber kit to get back within the Nismo OEM -.58, but I am fine with running -1.5. Note that OEM Nismo front is -0.58 front and -1.58 rear

Notes

• Swifts still kick a** and are a great option
• Swifts provide a perfect looking drop IMO and definitely increase overall handling performance
• Pulling ramps out everytime I go in and out of my driveway sucks

Alignment Specs

• Front Before Alignment: -1.6 left; -1.7 right
• Front After Alignment: -1.5 left; -1.7 right
• Rear Before Alignment: -2.8 left; -3.0 right
• Rear After Alignment: -2.3 left; -2.3 right

For those who keep on scraping, I suggest taking a dremel and cutting away the lower portion on the sides of the plastic spoiler beneath the bumper. We did that at the shop, per my request, and it came out perfect.

Take about half an inch off the ones below the fender, as well.

So after about 400 miles on these springs, I have concluded they are awesome. Smooth. Hardly any stiffer than OEM. And yet handle notably sharper and better. I hit a mean bump in the road today...I guess the group of as*holes who cut a chunk out in the middle of the road through it wasn't necessary to warn drivers there was a sharp bump.

When I hit it, I was surprised how well the springs absorbed the impact - it was just a solid thud and not the kind where you feel like your head has been smacked by a hammer. Very happy I went this route. I'm going to have to trim the plastic below the bumper just a tad more, but otherwise nothing beats this spring.

Those are my thoughts exactly, glad you like them Arnold! They really change the overall balance and feel of the car and make it much more responsive and tossable as opposed to the stock springs making the car feel a bit heavy with a bit of understeer.

I have a question though.. I reused the oem rubber sleeve for the bottom coil but I've been seeing pictures of another black sleeve 2 or 3 coils down from the top.

My springs arrived completely nude. Just confirming this is correct.

No other rubber sleeve besides the OEM gray ones that go on the bottom. You're good.

Just because you need a rear camber kit does not mean everyone else does. Nismo or not. I did not need one, dialed in to -1.4 front, -1.9 on the rears with no kit.

Bottom line, every car is different. Some will need kits, some will not. Won't know until you get 'em on and get an alignment.

Are you using spacers with your set up?

Guys..at almost full tank of fuel, my rear sits at 26.75'' while my front sits higher at 27''..normal ? This is after 5 days installed. BTW i ran 20mm front and 25mm rear with H&R spacers - stock rays. I checked and both marking for rear and front spring is correct...is there any chance that the rear spring fit at front with the shocks?

Most people get 26.75 front and 27'' back measured from ground to edge of the fender through center cap..pardon my english - 3rd world country :)

No not normal. Rear should sit at around 27" and front should be a little lower. You might want to check your springs, especially in the front.

yea im gettin a little suspicious of my swifts. my ride height is almost the same front vs back
