Yeah the front springs are a pain due to the fact the coils are wound up really tight at the top of the spring. So the spring compressor cannot easily get clamped on. It can be done but will be problematic. Might have to wedge the spring compressor clips in there. Just be careful. Install took me several hours total time. It is definately a whole day job with the spring compresor task included.

I wound recommend you take pics of your original spring setup at different angles so you know how to orient the new spring on there. It has to be installed just right. Don't want an uneven drop.

Mine came apart OK with the spring compressors we had but there just wasn't enough compression on the new Swift springs with the tightly bound tops. We said Eff it and put the uncompressed springs assembled but uncompressed in the car and sat the car down as we guided the strut through the top hole. Bit of a pain but it worked just fine. Put the clamp nut on and it worked perfect. Dropped the strut back out to make sure everything was fine (oh and to put the gasket on one side back in that didn't line up perfectly).

New swift spring owner

Just got mine yesterday; reviewed the video on the first page or two of this thread and got em on myself. Easy install; coming from a guy who has never ... NEVER ... wrenched on a car before. I've worked on 100 racing dirt bikes, but never a car. Piece of cake.

I cannot believe the difference from the stock springs. Would have never imagined how much difference they make. The ride is noticeably softer, but the car handles like it's on rails. Very nice.

The stance is perfect .... more aggressive, but still subtle. Love em !! I cannot wait to get my Gnosis GS-2s on this thing.

If you're on the fence ... DO IT ! You will not regret it.

FYI ... Ordered mine a week or two ago from RAVSPEC online ... arrived just as promised. :tiphat:

The ride will only be softer for a few miles until the springs settle in. I usually notice that when my car comes off a lift, it drives soft for about 20 miles or so and then goes back to normal overnight.

Let us know how the ride feels in about a week. I'm getting mine installed tomorrow.

some of the springs they make for other cars are blue. Believe all the Z34 springs are black though.

yea they come black, unfortunately we just have a generic picture that swift uses for the Spec-R springs but for some reason not all spec-r springs are that color...

These springs are amazing, inspiring, aggressive, balanced, responsive, and basically perfect!
Just got back from a trip thru the Rocky Mountains with these and chasing a motorcycle rally thru the twisties. I was blown away by how these springs held the roads and kept the car flat and on line!
WORTH EVERY PENNY AND THEM SOME!!!
