That's far too upright for the front, and especially the rears. I'm thinking about running 2.1-5 out back and 2.8+ up front. I'm probably running a more aggressive setup than most though.

Control arms here we come! Sounds good on the camber setup, front and back. Let us know how it performs.

I am going to get another alignment done before the run on June 18. I wish I had upper control arms...but the piggy bank was busted after new springs and tires.

anyone experiencing a squeek from front after installing springs?

Ron 05-30-2011 01:46 PM

not me :D

Did you install the rubber thing at the bottom of the spring?

ArtK 05-30-2011 03:45 PM

I just ordered my Swift springs, waiting impatiently for them to come in now.:excited:
It appears that there is quite a diverse opinion on whether or not to add a camber and toe kit for the front and rear of the Z once the swift springs are installed. I read through the majority, probably half of, the 44 pages and quite a few of you say no camber or toe is necessary to make proper adjustments the other half say yes. So my question is if I am putting on 20" wheels, and I'm sure many of you have already learned trial an error, should i put camber and toe adjustments on, and which brand is recommended. My Z is not a daily driver but when I do drive it I want to be able to drive without worrying about screwing up a $500 tire, or when I bring it to the track not have the car perform properly.
Not sure what to do?????

Depends on your goals. If you just want to go back to factory spec, you will need rear camber arms with toe bolts. The fronts should stay within spec.

The rears can usually be adjusted back to around 2.5* of camber, and for a lot of people that is acceptable. I'm leaving mine like that.

stephen 05-30-2011 06:25 PM

i sure did ron, its a creaking noise

Ron 05-30-2011 06:32 PM

hmm, did you make sure everything was tighten?

PapoZalsa 05-30-2011 08:15 PM

I'm waiting to get paid in a few days to order mines plus the rear camber kit w/toe bolt. That way is all done at once. Then get the spacers and get an alignment after the springs settle.

Fern to the Z 05-30-2011 10:01 PM

what is this about "rear camber arms with toe bolts" i thought that with swift springs one didn't need any additional parts other than an alignment?

Like I said, strictly speaking you don't need it. I am running mine without them, and have no camber wear after 3k ish miles.

Some people just want to get them back into the factory spec.
