Sport Package Brakes and 18's?

Does anyone know if the sport package brakes will clear the base 18's? I know the spare for the sport package is different but it is an 18, so maybe.

umm, I highly doubt it.. I dont think the base ones have that much clearance over the base brakes in the first place. Would be something to look at though. In for further answers.

^Yeah, but if they can clear the 18 spare they should be able to clear other 18's. You also have to cosider that you aren't just moving the base caliper further out to clear the bigger rotor. It's a whole different pacakge. The sport caliper may extend past the rotor less. If anyone in NC wants to let me try on their sport package I'll buy ya a case of beer.

Using the template i got from CZP the stock 18's will not work with the sport brakes. It is frustratingly close (too close to actually try it) it looks to me if the outer most corner on the caliper where ground down it would clear without a problem. That being said I tried AP Racings 14.25 template while I had the wheel off...it cleared the rim but I still have some concern about the spokes. Looks like i'll be getting wheels before brakes.

Damn, I know seeing the GT Motoring's GTR the wheels are super close also but it makes it. I wonder if this is the same case.

Here give this a try.

Wheel Fitment Template

There has been a a few guys install them on there 350's with 18" wheels. I have used the template myself on the 06 GT wheels. It cleared.

i would think if it comes with a different spare then no, the sport calipers wont clear on the 18s. i'm assuming the offset and spokes are to be blamed. i guess this means i'm going with the sport package. lol.

The sport calipers do clear the 18's. In fact, that's how the 370Z in Australia is equipped.

350Z guys run 18" wheels all the time with 14" BBK's - there is no reason the same can't be done on the 370's.

The 14in Akebono (Nissan Sport) brakes absolutely do fit on 18in wheels. I had them installed on mine. Check with Concept Z for a good price. About 2.5 hours labor plus cost (1/2 hour) to trim rear dust covers. They look great.

I want to change the calipers on my 2010 base. Do you have to change the brake lines?

You didn't say to what, but generally speaking yes.

The 18s do fit. I upgraded from the 19s on my sports model to the base 18's and they fit with zero issues. Well i mean the back looks a bit tucked but thats irrelevant
