Camber kit help?

What up fellas I'm looking into camber kits front and rear, what are you guys using and how much? And most important what would you recommend???

Mozen 10-13-2010 06:20 AM

I would say SPL but they dont make anything for the front yet, i have their camber arms for the rear tho and i am impressed. Very well made.

Three7D 10-13-2010 06:43 AM

I will definitely look into those!

kkruel55 10-13-2010 05:40 PM

I am using SPC rear camber arms for my ride currently -- it is dropped and running about -2.0 to -2.2 camber all around. Working great so far, they are very sturdy.

SPOHN 10-13-2010 07:01 PM

I don't know what always takes SPL so long to come out with there front camber kit. It took them years for them to release it on the 350. By the time they did most had the SPC kit. Which I had also. Still a great kit though. But the SPL has a step up.

docaam 10-14-2010 01:38 AM

I have SPC in the front, does the job perfectly, though not that much needed IMO, for rear I went with Ichiba and can do the same what SPC or SPL can do but for less price

djpathfinder 10-14-2010 02:37 AM

I have SPC front and rear...so far so good.

bullitt5897 10-14-2010 10:47 AM

SPC front and rear here... helped me Slam the Z!!!

Three7D 10-14-2010 01:36 PM

Thanks guys I've been shopping around a little bit and the SPL stuff looks good but I'm kinda like to get things that "match" brand wise! I know I'm weird!

GTLAW 10-14-2010 04:08 PM

Three7D 10-14-2010 08:49 PM

^^^ I could use a LIL also??? But anyone heard of SPL making the fronts anytime soon?

NISMOFO 10-17-2010 07:43 PM

I recall Some front camber kits being noisy for the 350? Anyone experience this with the SPC front camber kit?

NewYorkJon34 10-17-2010 11:29 PM

I have the SPC rear kit + KW V3's, so far so good  The ride is great, but it still looks like I have a tiny bit of negitive camber in the rear.

djpathfinder 10-18-2010 12:02 AM

No noise from the camber kits here.

Are you planning to put any camber arm on the front?

1fast350z 10-18-2010 12:43 AM

Go with SPC. Nuff' said.

NewYorkJon34 10-18-2010 08:08 AM

I really don't think I'll need the front camber kit

fuct 10-18-2010 08:12 AM

SPL has a front set coming out.......

Three7D 10-19-2010 01:09 AM

^^^ Soon I hope?

did you drill the slot or anything to fit the rear camber?

ArtVandaleigh 10-19-2010 07:26 AM

I have the SPC kit on the rear with Eibachs. If you get the toe bolts, you need to enlarge the hole just slightly for more adjustment, but it's not difficult at all.

The SPC works but it doesn't hold alignment if you track the car. Fine for the street.

NewYorkJon34 10-19-2010 01:48 PM

Good thing I don't track the car then, lol

Im sure they are "fine" on the street, but knowing they DO slip is very disheartening to me.

Overtorquing the lock nut helps a bit. The overall design in fine but they should have came up with some kind of anti-slip mechanism.

naaa not for me. come on SPL!!!!

Jeffblue 10-19-2010 03:58 PM

As in the upper ball joint? My SPC arms have been in there for a year and I haven't greased anything.

NewYorkJon34 10-19-2010 05:09 PM

I have the spc kit, I'm sure it's just as good as the spl kit.

Zeto 10-25-2010 11:17 AM

Does anyone know of a vendor that sells both SPL and SPC? Also do front camber arms make a big difference?

NewYorkJon34 10-25-2010 11:20 AM

Your better off just looking for the best deal online, but I believe Z1 has both. I don't think the front kit is needed. I have the rear spc kit, and my car feels great.

docaam 10-25-2010 11:46 AM

yeah if you lowering on coil overs and on a very low reading then you might need front camber arms.

Zeto 10-25-2010 12:45 PM

I think I'm going to go with the SPLs since I do track the car. I'm on stock suspension. What kills me is that on the stock suspension the camber on one side goes to -2.5 and the other -1.8 with 0 toe. :icon14:
Let me know if anyone has any for sale

NewYorkJon34 10-25-2010 01:04 PM

If your on stock suspension, why do you need the camber arms?

Zeto 10-25-2010 01:27 PM

Because i want more negative camber.

PM Ryan@Forged He's a vendor here and they sell both SPC and SPL. Note, SPL doesn't have a front kit.

Much appreciated!

Consider this...if you increase negative camber in the front, you can improve turn in response and greatly reduce/eliminate understeer. I'm currently running -2.2 camber and toe neutral up front...wow, what a big difference compared to before! Still handles well and is stable in a straight line for daily driving. You can't adjust front camber without an aftermarket camber kit.

True... thanks for the insight!
