Fair price for springs Install

Just wondering if you guys think that $250 is fair for an install of H & R springs. Got quoted at Stillen, seems a little high, as I've had my car lowered before numerous times for around $100-$150.

Wow, about $80 an hour for 3 hours, I think they posses a lot experience to get it done in 2 or less, are they doing anything else like alignment? That is high.

If it does, it's not so bad.

I'd just do it yourself. It's not that hard to throw springs on.

Well Stillen quoted me $740 for
H&R springs: $260
Install Springs: $250
Mount/balance new rims/tires: $100, plus transfer TPMS roughly $30 a wheel
Alignment: $125

Just called Paul from Amplified Motorsports, and he quoted me:
H&R springs plus install $360
Mount/balance new rims/tires plus transfer TPMS: $40/ wheel = $160
Alignment they said they can refer me somewhere good for $90.

I think I'm going to Amplified Instead.

Ive always wanted to I just don't have the tools or a place to do it. Plus I'd rather have a professional do it.

I'm having Eibach lowering springs installed for $250 plus $79.95 for 4 wheel alignment. As for the DIY for springs, uh uh.

Good luck with that one unless you are talking stock springs. I replaced my entire 280Z suspension in a side yard in NY. And I wouldn't consider this. Once you see the springs you can tell that unless you have a spring press you aren't going to get these things installed. I have spring compressors and they don't fit.

I know it sounds odd, but if you have any skills with tools you could save yourself some money and install the rears haha, and then just pay to install the fronts. The rears are super easy and require no springs compressors or anything, just a little elbow grease. The fronts I understand, but install the rears and then make the drive to the shop and have them install the fronts. It will look funny on the way to the shop, but a penny saved is a penny saved.

most shops $75-80/hr. x2hrs = 160

if they're doing an alignment with the spring install for $250, that's a good deal.
how about you try installing it yourself?
