GTSPEC 6 Point Ladder Brace

so, i have a roadster and starting my build and was looking at the 6 or 4 and the rear lower brace...and your saying it will hit everything i go

Venaci 20" spirits 9.5 and 11" rear

^ get the G3 intake, not the G2. Also I'd get HFC's not Test pipes because the power advantage is really not worth the rasp.

Whatever happened with this brace, I want one

ok, ill take a look.
do you need to take off the front bumper every time to clean the filters? i live in a dusty area! grr
so no test pipes, go with the 200 cell cats.

what about the brace...i am in a roadster so the car gets some flex! but dont want it to have no clearence.

Skip the brace, you'll hit everything especially if you're lowered!

And yes, you need to remove the front bumper to access the filters but this is VERY easy. Once you figure out how it works (i.e. after the first time) you can remove the front bumper in under 10 minutes. It's a breeze.

I would go with the high flow cats....less stinky, less rasp and I guess it does something for the environment. Might cost you 3-4hp.

I don't know about the clearance...I'm pretty scared about that myself...Don't think I can make it anywhere...

They may have redesigned it, but on the model i had if you're dropped at all its going to get destroyed. I ended up taking it off when i had my coilovers installed because it just wasn't going to work.

i was thinking if im adding power in a soft top witch has more flex then a coupe i would need it. but, guess not that much if i cant drive it! 3 or 400 in my pocket

i would have, but i left it at performance motorsport in like november, when i had my coilovers installed. I think GT-SPEC picked it up the next day or so.

Attempted to install the 6 point brace after work today. The compression rivets are an interesting experience as I really did not know when I've tightened them enough. I used hand tools and they do seem to work.
However, the problem I had was that the other four bolts from the frame do not fit with the brace in place. GT-Spec does not provide replacements bolts that fit the length needed. I contacted GT Spec and they stated they used to provide the correct size bolts. They suggested I go to a hardware store and pick up some longer bolts, which I'll do but it would have been better knowing that prior to taking everything apart.
My concern is that other than the rivet bolts the four contact points are not flush where the brace makes contact the frame tightened by the bolt. Not sure if that is intentional so there will be some flex between the brace and frame in the front and side bolts. If you look at picture of this product at the GT-Spec site it shows two additional bolts but it also shows what look like a pair of bushings that I believe are there to resolve the non-flushness. Four of those should have been included in the package.
I also have the 2 point rear brace which fits flush at the bolt contact points and that's what I would have expected from the 6-point.

Retightened everything and will be purchasing the new longer bolts this weekend. If anyone has the specs on the thread and length, thanks.

Purchased longer bolts and washers. Everything suddenly fit and the brace was installed within 10 minutes. After a drive and retighening of all bolts I took it for longer drive. The before and after difference is not dramatic, and I was not expecting it from such a well-built car.
Impressions are that the steering wheel feels more solid. Noises from the road bumps are more muted, distant. On higher speed turns it feel solid, more solid than before. That new feel provides more confidence in the turn. A more solid feel at highway speeds. It is noticeable? Yes to me.
