Thanks for the info! What were your reasons for going with the 4 and not the 6?

I have the 6-point and the 2-point in the rear. The next step is the 4-point.

What were the specs to the bolts and washers you bought?

I'm also thinking about getting this and want to be prepared for the install.

I reviewed my e-mails with GTSpec and looked for the package and cannot locate the specs on the bolts. I think they were M10x1.25x??mm and automotive grade. I picked up varying lengths at Home Depot and since they were under $3 each it was a good insurance policy from taking multiple trips (returned the unused).
If you want to be prepared for the installation, e-mail GTSpec and ask them to provide you with the bolt specs and then purchase 1/2 in longer bolts. I recommend purchasing 2 longer bolts for the front and 2 longer bolts for the outside. My package did not come with the 2 front bolts, they expect you to use the existing bolts from the chassis.

That's good info, thanks man. I'll have to do that when I decode to buy these since they're definitely in my future.

time for me to resurrect an old thread. Just to sum it up, if you are lowered, these 3 braces will scrape like crazy?

Default 6 Point Brace on convertible.

Added GTSpec 6 point brace to add rigidity to a convertible. Jeffblue has provided good description of install. To add to my experience to the description, the convertible had two small brace section on the left and right that I had to remove to fit the GTSpec brace. I had not noticed these in previous posts. Maybe these are unique to the convertible? These are shown in 1st pic.

GTSpec brace fitted well, captive nuts worked out OK.

I have been having problems with car tracking when crossing uneven surfaces in the road. The 1st drive maybe showed better rigidity. I did not scrape anything, but my car is not lowered. I have not crossed speed bumps yet.

I will update when I have more driving.

In Puerto Rico 6point brace scrapes on every single speed bump even on the stock height.
