About a 1'' drop and damped 15 frt. and 20 rear.

JB-370z 09-11-2010 11:48 PM

Love the drop! I love the RE-11's too! Should have an amuse kit on soon too ;)

Ztoon 09-12-2010 01:08 AM

Thanks. Yeah, no regrets with the Amuse. Fitment and quality are amazing!

Juruki 09-15-2010 11:12 AM

how do you like the coilovers? I ordered a set of BRs a couple days ago...

FuszNissan 09-15-2010 11:15 AM

Looks Hot!

iceman21_23 09-15-2010 11:17 AM

i freaking love that rear end!

m4a1mustang 09-15-2010 11:19 AM

Man that looks great.

theDreamer 09-15-2010 11:24 AM

Mmmmmm

Jeffblue 09-15-2010 11:28 AM

love it. I am actually going to get the BR's as well and gonna do probably a 1" drop as well. What kind of camber kits are you running/what kind of set up? Also, what width/offsets are your wheels? Sorry for 20 questions, i'm just trying to imagine how my setup will look with the 1" drop

btw those re-11's are so nice looking

Thanks for the kind words. I actually ordered a rear camber kit, but never used it as with a 1'' drop I was able to keep it very close to stock. I'll dig out the alignment report for all the stats. and post it shortly. Sizing is frt. ET22, rear ET15.

thanks ztoon +Rep. what about the wheel widths? i'm very interested in the camber specs you were able to get without the camber kit. which kit had you purchased?

Very pleased with them. I decided on the BC BR's instead some of the pricier units, as a friend has had them on his Camry for 3 yrs. without any problems.

Chris_1 09-15-2010 03:31 PM

I am in love man, I know not everyone loves that lip, but it makes me want to buy a z so bad and put that lip. Well done sir, I would drop the front to match the rear a bit more, but it looks real good right now.

Ztoon 09-15-2010 05:14 PM

Wheels are: SSR Type F 19x10.5 ET+15 5:114.3
19x 9.5 ET+22 5:114.3
Flat black

That setup is real close to my offsets +25/+12, same widths. Thanks a lot for posting all this info! please post those camber specs whenever you get around to it.

will do! the front camber is what i was concerned with, and it looks like i could definitely manage without a front camber kit, i'd probably still go with the rear kit b/c the rear camber is a little too negative for what i'm looking for, but all the other specs look to be fine. I can't wait till my Z has that stance! How are you liking those damper settings of 15/20, hows the ride for street/daily driving? how's the handling overall?

I bumped the front damper up to 22, as I was getting some scraping at speed. Overall the ride shows a huge difference. Smooth, and corners like it's on rails.

I had issues with the frt. lip as well, however, thought I'd trust that Mine's got it right. Wow, Looks totally different when you're standing next to it! Real nasty!

As for the drop, dunno, maybe it's the pic angle. Drops exactly the same, frt. and back.

Jeffblue 09-17-2010 05:32 PM

yea i think it is the pic angle, its only in 1 pic that it looks higher in the front.

ArtVandaleigh 09-19-2010 06:21 PM

Great looking car.

370Z JT 09-19-2010 07:13 PM

nice drop! only crticism i have is the rear looks too aggressive. Need to balance the front perhaps with a vented hood? hood ducts? bumper ducts?

Jeffblue 09-19-2010 07:32 PM

was looking at the drop and thinking about why people think it looks uneven Front/Back, i think its just b/c the tire in the front is thicker, so given the same fender height, there will be less fender gap the rear, which gives the illusion of being lower. I think it looks all around bad *** though.

Funny you should mention that. I totally agree. I've got the Seibon TS style hood on order.
I also really like what Marco of MRWorks has created with the GTR style vented fenders.

seungklee 10-08-2010 03:13 AM

looking good sir. how much did you get ur wheels for?

ZCarMan 10-08-2010 05:02 AM

Great photos and very well done all around!

ClemsonWill 10-08-2010 08:09 AM

HATED1 10-09-2010 05:37 PM

any updates on the suspension? noises ? problems? overall? thanks im prety close to picking a set of these up, oh and btw, any problems adjusting ther rear dampening? would you reccomend the extenders?

Ztoon 10-09-2010 07:02 PM

No noise, no issues, responsive.... me likes em a lot!
I did have to stiffen the frt. dampers (bumped to 22 from 15) as the Mines lip was close to scraping at speed on uneven roads. Fortunately I haven't had to adjust the rear (set at 20). If needed, I'd probably drill the covers and fit with a plug to get at the knobs instead of using the extenders. Cleaner looking.

Jquad 10-09-2010 08:33 PM

L0oks great bro:tup:

felt 10-11-2010 03:44 PM

How much did you pay for those wheels and what size/offset are they? Looks damn nice.

Jquad 10-20-2010 02:48 AM

Did you installed the rear camber's yet?

Decided they weren't needed, as the new set up is very close to stock.

IMHO the OP should raise the rear a little to make it look even. That will also improve his camber settings too. It looks uneven right now. If he was to put something heavy in the hatch, it would lower the rear and it would look funny. If he had a Z Enclosures with two 12" subs and amp, it would definately lower the rear...
