Rear jack stand points
Not sure if this is common info (did not find any info on my searches) or in the right area, but I am having a hard time trying to figure out where I can place jack stands on the rear of the car. I am able to jack the car up just fine on the diff, but where is a good spot to place the stands without doing any damage?

I would use the pinch rails, tabs in front of the wheels. That is where Jack stands are supposed to go. You can buy a rubber cap to fit over your Jack stands. Harbour freight also sells stands and rubber caps together.

Sorry to derail the thread a bit, but...
How is the quality of the HF Jack Stands? They are pretty cheap ($24.99 a pair), so I'm a bit worried about the quality of them.

That's the average price for Jack stands. You don't need to pay a lot of money for stands. I bought mine from a sporting goods store.

I use the end of the rear chassis brace where it meets the frame in front of the rear wheel.

I bought a bunch of Harbor Freight jack stands and they look great and seem to be well built. They sell red rubber caps to fit on top of the metal stands which really help protect the car.

Yeah that's what I have HF jack stands with the rubber caps. Still not confident on where to place them in the rear! Can't really use the rear car jack points as it will cause damage. Will need some kind of adaptor I guess.
