Brake Noise problem, need help!
I had my springs and spacers installed earlier this week but I am having problems with one of my wheels. The wheel on the rear driver side is making noise when I am going below 30-40mph, both accelerating or braking. THe best way I can describe the noise is the a metal brushing sound, or maybe a slight grinding sound. I think it might be my brake pads but not really sure why it is only happening on one wheel.
The cause of this is due to the spacer installation which required stud replacement, and the brake and rotor had to be taken off. Anyone had a similar issue with brakes making a brushing sound under those conditions, or anyone have any recommendations on what to do? |
Get it back to the shop ASAP, something didn't go back together correctly. I did the studs and didn't have any issues. Possibly they simply backed off the drum brake adjuster too far.

Agreed. Either that or since it's relatively easy for the mechanic to see that the studs aren't pushed in correctly, could be your ebrake shoes or even the brake pad shims. Regardless of what it is and all the speculation over what it could be it is an install error so take it back immediately.

When you come in for your oil change on Tues, I sent the guys this link to see if they can fix it for you. (we didn't do the initial install)

Thanks for the advice guys, as AZP mentioned I will be going to their shop on Tuesday to get my oil change and see if they can fix the problem. If they do I'll make sure to update this thread with the solution in case someone else runs into this problem.
