Exhaust install should run you $100 at max.

I could see a mechanic charging $200-300 for springs and another $100 for the camber kit. So yeah, you probably overpaid compared to what other people here are paying, but it all depends on how long it took the shop and what their labor rates are. Some are just flat out more expensive than others.

That's definitely on the high end but it's not completely outrageous.

370Zsteve 07-18-2010 09:37 AM

What is your shop's hourly rate, like $150/hour? :icon14:

You are also entitled to a written estimate, you didn't request one before all this work?

did it include the alignment, if so, not too far off base.

Always settle on price prior to work.

They had a fantastic lunch on you that day. (And drinks all around later that night with a good story for friends).

Prices may vary from shop to shop, that's why your supposed to shop around or ask others in your area who have had work done, to make sure you're not paying more than you need too.

You can only be angry at yourself for not asking them for a quote. That's why you get quotes from a few shops before dropping off the car.

Seems pretty high to me.

Yeah no wonder you overpaid. When I got springs I asked them and they wanted like $500 for just the spring install. I laughed at them :icon17:
