Yes, sorry for the confusion...I get the letters mixed up all the time...they are the ones with the longer studs. My original post is edited with the right series.

And the control arms front and rear?

So what you are saying is I will need adjustable arms for the front and rear of the car to get the tires to wear properly if I decide to do spacers and lower the car?

Well, I lowered mine by 3/4" front and 1/2" rear. With my spacers (15mm front, 20 mm rear), my camber was -1.6 and -1.0 front (yeah, different on either side) and -3.0 rear. With the stock rear camber adjustment bolt, they could bring the rears back to -2.4, no further. And like I said, for the front...no adjustments possible. So I suppose it depends on how much "off spec" you want to tolerate. Some people don't bother with aftermarket camber arms. I wanted complete control of the adjustments and I was in it so far anyways so paying a little more for front and rear kits was fine for the ability to fine tune at any time. In fact have a more aggressive street/track set up right now.

@djpathfinder - I have the SPC kit for my 2006 350Z and it works great. I got the first one they ever made for production! Anyway, I hear some knocks from time to time and it's a little annoying. I put H&R springs on that car which, like the 370Z, lowered it 1.3" front and 1.0" rear.

On my new 370Z I want to make it perfect and I would rather NOT wear out my tires prematurely, however, I do want to put Michelin PS2's on it....anyway I digress....I think I will probably get the SPC upper control arms again and the Eibach rear arms, H&R springs and wheel spacers.

I don't know if I need the Eibach Camber Bolt Kit, still trying to get confirmation on that. If you have a look at the creator of this thread you can see some negative camber on the front of the car. The SPC upper control arms will get rid of this for sure and the tires will last longer as a result.

Any replacement tire is going to cost about $300 so it's certainly worth doing....

The SPC front upper control arm adjusts for both camber and caster up front. If you buy the SPC rear camber and toe kit, it comes with a camber arm and toe arm with a set of bolts for each, so you don't have to buy separate bolts. It is preferable to have the camber arm over just the bolts...again, allows for greater control and adjustability. SPL is another company that makes a high quality camber kit as well.

Regarding negative front camber...I have that too...on purpose, to improve turn in response.

That's odd your front left and right camber is so different. I think mine came out to 1.7 and 1.9. I'm assuming when they adjusted toe it brought the camber lower and closer to matching.

djpathfinder 10-06-2010 01:16 PM

It was weird...I was surprised how out of whack it was too...this was before they adjusted anything. But, it's all good now.

Actually, I got my car corner balanced and aligned at Cantrell Motorsports in Kirkland back in August.

Woah didnt know this thread started up again, but to help with the answer everything mentioned in the original post minus the widening of the toe bolts will put you within spec. Keep in mind when you go to get your 370z aligned bring in a copy of the alignment specs (somewhere on this website, can't remember where, sorry) because since the car is so new they might not have it in there system. Oh and i mentioned in a pm that camber was less than -1 in front, sorry it's more like between -1--1.5 which is still good, it helps with turn in response. So far at about 1400 miles (80 miles was when everything was installed) everything is good as far as tire wear, noises, etc.

Appreciated....

I'll do these things in the next month once my springs come in.

How does the car feel now with the H&R springs? I am trying to figure out which spring I should go for and am having a hard time finding definitive reviews on each.

The car still feels like stock 1300 miles later, I honestly think these are the best springs to get for maximum drop without sacrificing comfort. I know Megan now has springs that claim 1.5 all around but not sure of the quality. Overall though h&r springs have not disappointed me.

forzagt 10-08-2010 08:31 AM

I have H&R springs on my 2006 350Z and I have ordered them for the 370Z because I was happy with them....just my two cents. I wouldn't buy them twice if I didn't like them.
