WANTED: Pic of *ACTUAL* KW V3 for 370z
I recently installed KW V3's on my Z.
However, when I opened the box, I was surprised because it did not have independent oil reservoir.. On the box, it says KW V3 inox line // part number : 352 85 007 It was shipped from KW automotive. I would love to see anyone else with KW V3... I know I should trust my local shop, but I'm keep thinking if I got FAKE or KW V2 or something... Pictures would be much appreciated (I took some pics of mine but I can't figure out a way to move pics from my 4 year old phone to my computer...) |
Independent oil reservoir?? That's not KW V3. How about you post pics of the coilovers you got?
Anyways, KW V3 on a G37 (same part) http://i422.photobucket.com/albums/p...007/kdubs2.jpg http://i422.photobucket.com/albums/p...e007/kdubs.jpg http://i422.photobucket.com/albums/p...7/g37side2.jpg |

I'd have to open the box on one.. but the photo they show on their website doesn't have one..
http://www.stillen.com/misc/kwvariant3_370z.jpg And there is only a Variant 1 and Variant 3, and you wouldn't have dampener adjustment on a Variant 1.. and your part number is correct.. |

oh man!
Thank you so much!! I can sleep well tonight!! :icon18::tup::tiphat::bowrofl: |
Oil reservoirs on KW V3 may not apply to ALL models.
I've seen a couple installations of V3 on a few different cars. Some of them have 2 oil reservoirs (rear or front only), some have 4 (front + rear), and some have none. |

There are two adjusters on our version of the KWv3 - one in the top mount of the shock tube, and is turned via an allen wrench, and one in the bottom mounting of the shock, covered by a black cover that is slipped off and then thereby exposing a rotating knob with four holes to turn it with a thin rod.
