Default Nismo Brake Pads warranty?

So when I purchased my Nismo (already had 204 miles and was sitting in the lot for about 6months) the car came factory equipped with the Nismo brake pads but it seems to be running out already (high pitch squeal when braking). I only have about 17xx miles on the car and there have been no instances of hard braking or repetitive braking so i'm confident my driving is not the factor for it to prematurely wear.

Can i get it replaced for free through warranty or what not? or am I just unlucky...

That's the nature of a track pad. They will be loud and dusty until they get warmed up (like on the track).

Be sure to wash the wheels often to keep the dust down. I didn't keep up with washing mine (bought tire shine instead of wheel cleaner. ) : and ended up spending almost two hours trying to scrub all of the dust off last weekend.

Yes...very common for more aggressive pads to squeel when cold. Heat em up and the squeel should go away.

if you feel this isn't the case, pop them out and inspect...i highly doubt they would be worn down that much though with so few miles.

Could also be they were not broken in properly from the start. If they were not bedded right that is very common with the Nismo pads. They are great stoppers and very little dust though a lil pricey.

Make that a lot pricey. $500 for brake pads is ridiculous. You can buy a full set of Carbotechs for $300-350.

Yeah the OEM pads for my old EVO X MR was $400.

Check the forums for vendors providing front/rear pad replacements at reduced prices. I got my Hawk pads for $200/shipped. They weren't as grippy as the OE pads but they still get the job done.
