SPC rear camber arms needs drilling? end links for hotckis question as well.
So here is the story, I am installing front and rear spc cambers arms. The shop took over 4hrs just to install front camber arms! My shop told me they need enlarge the holes for the toe links like G37's. otherwise it wont fit. They r charging an extra $100 in addtion to the $250 labour i paid.
Is this true? how hard it is to install the front camber arms? Also, they said when upgrade to stiffer sways to hotchkis, stock end links needs to be replaced as well because they are not strong enough? They said if I leave it, the bearings will break. Is this true as well? Thanks very much, I am very paranoid today Kevin Last edited by kevin.z; 06-25-2010 at 11:19 PM. Reason: how hard it is to install front cambers arms? |

Yes the toe bolt holes need to be enlarged. For them wanting to charge you more for this is insane. It only took me 5 mins. to enlarge the holes. It already comes with a templates to mark how large you must dremal them out. No extra effort for this. So go somewhere elso if they won't wave this.
Aslo, you won't need endlinks either. There's been very few cases of them breaking. And the ones that did were under alot of stress from hard track time. Be you should be more than fine. There are stronger and adjustable ones out there for replacment. Had the same sways for three years on my 350 with tons of track and spirted driving. You can benefit from them on the track though. But to me that's for the serious road racer who needs to know a bit about handling to make proper adjustments. Some people might argue this, but in the long run you'll be fine. Go to my350z.com and search in the track section and you'll fine a good article about adjustable end links. Last edited by SPOHN; 06-25-2010 at 10:05 PM. |

Shouldn't be to hard. Sometimes it can be a small pain to remove the bolts from the factory arms. But nothing big. Then transfer the bushing from the old to the new. Nothing a vice and small puller cant handle.
