Carbotech Pads
Im in the market for some brake upgrades, will be ordering a set of Goodridge SS lines and Motul RBF fluid, only this is I cant decide what pads to go with...
I decided to skip the Hawks after reading some threads on how bad they are at cold temps and other personal experiences (Not with my Z but with my previous car). So this leaves Carbotech as the winner, but what pads are most of you running for street/hard driving, and maybe a couple track days in the year ? |

Like RCZ, I'm running XP10f/XP8r. I've been leaving them on the car all summer to simplify my life with the intermittent weekend events. Ideally, I think I'd like the Carbotech AutoX pads on the car all the time, and then I'll swap them for the 10s/8s for my track days which are less often.

No increased wear from what I can tell. I've had them on since April 1 and have put about 1,000mi on them with daily driving and one track day. Dusting and squeal are both significant, but I knew that going in.

Your pads will be gone long before your rotors (had about 6 set of Carbotechs in other cars)
Is the part # on their website the correct one for 370Z? They only list one brake application, so base can use the bigger brake pads on the sport? |

I order XP10f/XP8r.But i received xp8 for the front instead of the 10. So you got to make sure what's in the box.
So my setup is XP8f/XP8r. After 4 track days and around 600 miles on the street there was a noticeable wear specially on the front rotor. With this setup you can feel a slight bias to the rear break (didn't bother me). Dusting and squeal are both significant.

carbotechs for street - ive considered this but due to the increased dust and noise everyone ive talked to has recommended not to. i run project mu ns pads on the street and track without any problems. so far ive got about 30k miles and 8 track days on them and they're still holding up.
