so correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks like the bottom bar is separated from the top triangle piece? Is that a good thing? Something tells me its not

so correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks like the bottom bar is separated from the top triangle piece? Is that a good thing? Something tells me its not but I'm not a handling expert.. anyone care to chime in on that?

Personally i would tie it in... I like the two main bar idea... but tied together like a "k" truss would be good. Or bowing the bottom bar so that it is pre loaded and transfers energy to the top "triangle" structure. Either way... again the loads will never deform this thing... unless you decide to drive off the damn empire state building.
