Comfort Lowering Springs?

I was wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction based on personal experience. I'm looking to drop the car, with lowering springs. My previous car had Eibach springs, and I did not enjoy the ride comfort of them, although they improved handling a lot. For the Z I'm looking for springs that are as comfortable to drive in as the OEM suspension, as I'm pretty happy with it... I just really hate the wheel gap. Can anyone suggest from their own experience which springs don't stiffen up the ride too much?

I live in NYC, so I'm trying to avoid making the ride anymore harsher than it already is.

i used to live in nyc as well. if you can, best bet is coilovers, specially in the winters when you cant get a lowered vehicle through the snowy streets and potholes full of ice. you can raise it for winters and lower for summers, and soften it up as much as you want and stiffen it up for track days. my dad still lives there and drives a cobalt ss with h&r springs. i mind you that he is 53 years old and loves his h&r's. ive never got a chance to get a test drive but ill take his word for it. so if your going to go springs, look into the h&r's, but i would recommend coilovers

well as far as springs tanabe nf210s, is what i'm looking into at the moment.

i do have a question regarding coils, i'm not looking for a huge drop, maybe a .8/1.0 f/r. do coils have a pre-determined height that you can adjust them to or you can set em as high or low as you want?

mine and on most, you can set them as high or as low as you want. they have locks so you can set the height anywhere. im not sure how high mine will go, i never tried. i have never had a chance to try the tanabe's, maybe someone in here has and can give you some feedback

Hr springs are pretty comfy to me, soft, doesn't bounce, feels like oem to me.

im worried about h&r due to the drop, from what i understand they slam your car lower than all other springs out. i'm just worried about going that low as my chin spoiler is already completely scraped to hell and I don't even have the car for a month... I can't get out of my driveway without scraping on stock height.

thanks for the input guys, as long as the tanabe feedback is good, i think i'll go with those.

I lived in Carrol gardens in Brooklyn and there is no way I would drive or park a z in NYC. I saw nice Lexus, jags street parked and on garbage day they would sometimes drag garbage over the hood of the cars.

i got the eibach pro kit. the height is perfect, but the springs DO NOT go well with the stock shocks, they feel horribly out of place. The spring rates are too much for the shocks.
