I made a post HERE about the Ferodo pads available for Akebono. They are not the same as what comes loaded in the Brembo kit but it's another option for those who may be interested.

I would actually suggest investing in good pads, lines, and fluid first. There's no sense in buying all of the other parts and finding out you still need pads, lines, and fluid. Most drivers (doing occassional track events) will need only basic brake upgrades.
The parts you mentioned aren't really necessary and aren't a good starting point. You won't feel a noticable difference (from everything other than the brake lines), and they're pretty pricey items to start out with. Get some pads and fluid at the very minimum. |

Oh ok. I still wouldn't upgrade with those items unless I knew that was the root cause of braking issues. Since it's a documented overheating issue, the cheapest and most effective route would be to invest in brake ducting. Most casual track drivers would barely feel the effects. If you wanted to be on the safe side though, pads/rotors/fluid/lines/ducting should be fine.
I've seen more documented issues with the ABS system on dedicated track cars then anything else. |

And I can confirm that I did not experience ice mode on the track after installing the ducts. However, I also upgraded to CarboTech pads and Castrol SRF fluid.
