Maybe a newb question but never upgraded muh brakes to a bbk b4.
If you were to upgrade to a BBK for example.... Ksport. would that mean any future brake jobs you would need to purchase the replacement pads & rotors from Ksport or will any pad fit or rotor (given the rotor is the same diameter)?

It all depends on the shape of the pad needed. Sometimes you can buy aftermarket pads such as Hawk, Project Mu, etc.

I had 6 piston Alcons on my B6 S4 with the rear Alcon rotors as well, with XP8 pads all around. The best mod for the money as they make the fat-assed S4 really stop and I could NOT get them to fade a single bit, and I punished them greatly. Too bad the 4.2L motors in the B6 are a ticking time-chain tensioner and chain-guide time bomb waiting to go off to fix for 5K. Oh well, I'm much happier with the Nismo anyway. Who sells the Alcons for the 370Z? Or just get the XP8 for my stock calipers? The Alcon calipers were a 1 piece cast design, very rigid.

We fitted Alcon Superkit to 370Z track car on Wednesday. It is too soon, to give genuine feedback, but it seems to be best mod for this car so far.

The one thing, what we changed are pads. Instead of street Pagid RS9-2, we fitted RS29.

Some pictures of this kit below.
