Fang vents.

My brake ducts are a modification of ModShack's forced air ducts. I removed the tubing from the air boxes and routed it to the wheel wells.

I imagine you could fit a NACA duct or some other inlet to the undertray but that would start to get complicated. Even in the case of the Nismo nose you could simply drill a couple of holes in the undertray and zip tie the brake tubing on top of the undertray and directly in the air flow.

With brake cooling is it mostly about just putting fresh air onto the brakes or do you have to worry about pumping air out of the area?

Fresh air onto the brake disks. You don't really have to worry about pumping air out on this type of scale unless you are running a JGTC/dedicated circuit car and even then I have rarely really seen a setup that evacuates air, just more ducts!

I was thinking about this, but I have never seen NACA ducts drawing in air from under the diffusers, just mainly used to help dissipate heat from the engine bay. Anyone care to chime in?

Someone needs to mass produce and sell a Brake Duct cooling product for us that is easy and effective...

I thought Stillen was going to produce a set of brake ducts that are compatible with the standard front facia "fangs".

Hi there, good list so far.

Just thinking you might want to consider adding some approximate wheel fit info to the BBK's as well. That seems to be a very common question that comes up.

Plus, NACA ducts only work in a laminar air flow field. Without wind tunnel testing (or careful track testing if you now how to do it), there is no way to assume the flow is laminar and not turbulent. Once the flow detaches, NACA ducts just don't work. Spinning wheels and tires are great at messing up air flow!

Hello, As far as you stating that we are one of the only companies to make a floating front and rear set of rotors for the Akebono's.... Well, the other company you mentioned two piece rotors are made of just common grey iron and the hats are not even made of forged billit aluminum like ours, those rotors are also NOT floating, and to my knowledge they have not even made the rears as of yet, just the fronts. It is more of a feeler if I am not mistaken (if someone actually has them on the rear please correct me if I am wrong).

As with most of our designed and built products, track driving was the main focus when designing our heat treated, stressed relieved, gas vented, full floating, two piece rotors. No corners where cut at all when creating these rotors. I assure you that you will NOT find a better made rotor for this brake kit (or almost any other brake kit). We have had our complete set (front and rear) on several cars now. There are a few customers we have these rotors on their cars here in the US, and a couple more orders are being filled here currently... I have a customer in the Austria/ Germany area with a Z34 who has our rotors and has logged many, many track days on them, he couldn't be more pleased.
