i have 370z MT. can our 370z have hill holders or roll back system installed? like hurst roll back system?? someone told me if you have ABS system we can't

hill holder or roll back brake system
i have 370z MT. can our 370z have hill holders or roll back system installed? like hurst roll back system?? someone told me if you have ABS system we can't install it. iam trying to have back up or easier way to stop at the hill (i know i can use E-Brake). i live in hill area and iam getting tired of using e-brake also iam new to MT. please recommend any hill holder system that can be installed in 370z MT. thanks

I don't think its possible.
Hills to a New manual driver is one of the most difficult challenges that needs to be overcome. If you find it too much trouble get an Auto. |

just drive around one day and practice starting on hills. once you figure out the timing, you will be fine. Try doing it just using your feet so you don't have to fumble around etc. a tip: if you are worried about rolling back on a steep hill, let out your clutch while your foot is still on the brake until right before the engagement point, then take your foot of the brake and onto the acelerator. This way you can be smooth about it.

i brake using my right foot's big toe and just blip the throttle with the edge of my right foot, engage clutch, and go. i dont use e-brake for hills unless im backing out of a parking spot.

i remember i burnt out my clutch while practicing uphill start. a good tip would be to be to half clutch before ur car is moving. This way, you are right on the engagment pt before the car starts rolling back. it is same concept when u dont depress all the way when shifting.

I clutch-in all the way when shifting. Only time I'm half clutching is creeping into my garage or parking spot, bumper to bumper traffic and that's with no throttle input.

you can shift faster as long as you go over the engagment pt. i don see the need of clutching all the way all the time. but that's just mine opionion

PRACTICE. I didn't take long and lived and learned in a hill area with soem really steep slopes. I do a heal toe kind of move or am just quick with letting off brake as I ease the clutch out. The Z has enough power to take off not too bad if you just ease the clutch out. I think it would be rather difficult to burnt he clutch that fast trying to learn, but go out there when it is not so busy and have at it.

i burnt out my clutch while practicing on a really steep hill, like 40 drgs or sth. there was smoke coming from the hood. Practice, but not too hard lol

I'm still getting use the Z's clutch. This is my third manual transmission car, had a civic and a WRX. The clutch engagement is at a high point, will take some time getting used to it.
Is it possible to adjust the clutch's enagement point? |

nava- actually the full engagement point is higher but the clutch does begin clamping not too far off the floor. i know wat you mean though, ive had honda's and suby's and mazdoh, and MINI's in the past and they all engage differently.
even between my G and Z they engage differently but once you get use to it it's really nothing. |
