I think I regret putting in Eibach Springs. Opinions please! *Pics*
 

So yesterday I got my Eibach springs installed along with an intake/exhaust. When I was planning my mods, I read that Eibach achieves a .8" drop in the front and .9" in the rear, which I thought would have been perfect. Unfortunately, when i picked up my car, the drop looked lower than I pictured it in my mind. Disappointed and confused, I went to Eibach's website, and sure enough, their springs give a .8"/.9" drop for the coupe. However, when I looked at the drop for the roadster, it claimed a 1.2" drop for both front and rear! I looked to make sure that it was the same part number...it was.

This is confusing. I would assume that the stock springs for the coupe and roadster are identical. But if that were the case, why would the Eibach Springs drop the car almost a half inch more on the roadster??

Anyway...here are some pics. Sorry for the crappy camera phone. I was really looking for a very subtle drop, but I think I overdid it. Tell me I didn't make a mistake! Actually...don't do that. Tell me the truth. I don't mind spending the money to put the stock springs back in if it would make the car look better.

Final note: I am putting spacers on the car and putting on a rear camber kit. Maybe that might make the overall appearance look like a more subtle drop...who knows.

I think it looks fine. I would say that if the lowering more than you expected isn't effecting things like uncontrolled rubbing or scraping leave it. You did mention that you were putting in spacers in the rear but your pictures show that the fronts possibly need spacers as well. It might just be the pics. Other than that I don't see an issue with a low, sleek, 370z roadster. Do you?

Push the wheels out with 20mm spacers front & Rear and put on the rear SPC camber kit, I think it makes a huge difference, then you can decide if you want to take out the Eibachs. When I put the rear camber back closer to stock, it actually raised the car about 5mm. You can always go with some adjustable BC coilovers (about $995) sell your Eibachs, then you can adjust the ride height where you want it. :tup:
I don't think it looks too low, but definitely need the spacers. I'm running 15mm front and 20mm rear, but my Nismo rims have a more aggressive offset, I would definitely go 20mm on front with stock sport rims.

Not too low at all...looks good! To reiterate what's been said already, the spacers (20mm rear and 15 mm front) would push the wheels out and make it look even better. For a 1 inch drop, I'm not sure if you need the camber kit. Both Eibach and H&R are supposed to give you an approximate 1" drop in the rear and 1.1 or 1.2" drop in the front. This will make both front and rear wheel well spaces about the same. For less than a 1" drop, coilovers would be the way to go....try it for a while and see if you will get used to it. As far as looks...nothing wrong with what you have right now.

Then again, I've seen your pics where you have the spacers installed only on the rear. Even still, my drop in front looks lower than yours. Don't really know why.

By the way, can front camber be adjusted at all without control arms? Or will I be stuck with whatever the outcome is when I get the spacers put in...

It looks great...just be careful with bumps in the road....I'm glad I have stock springs since I have already had the aero deflector come half off due to NJ sh*tty roads! :( Much more careful now. If I had the Eibach springs, the front bumper would be laying in the road in pieces LOL

no... the roadster is heavier than the coupe no? it would stand to reason that the springs would compress more if you are a heavier car using the same spring...
