i love that piece i was talking about it just yesterday with a friend but i wouldn't pay that much for just a titanium sway bar. idk i mean if i had the money to blow i guess i would but it is a beautiful bar

JB-370z 03-23-2010 11:34 AM

ITs for show -N- Go or just show. I dont think it would be for the guys just making a track car. I will order one when I am done with tt but they should come down in price by then. They used to be almost 1500 now I see them for about 1k

nuTinmuch 03-23-2010 12:54 PM

It's almost 1k for a piece of straight metal. Pass.

209Z 03-23-2010 10:03 PM

at least the price is going down cuz this use to be 3k was it not at one point?

Mike 03-23-2010 10:05 PM

I think its probably a great alternative to a full cage if you want to run harnesses on the track. My harness bar in the corvette was 695, so its not that far off.

Csquared 03-23-2010 10:12 PM

So i'm guessing this is really just for show or if I want harnesses? I guess it'll save like 2 pounds or something cause it's TI lol. I guess I'll think about it.

Knives 03-23-2010 11:49 PM

I would think this does add some additional rigidity over the stock rear strut bar. Plus it is a plus that you can easily attach a harness to it.

But, I agree, $1000 is a little much.

Hahahahaha, I Didn't even think about that!!!! I guess well see if its just a cool looking brace or if it actually has use here in the states! I'll go check monday and update.

I made a call and have been told that it will have attachments on both sides. Ill post pictures next week to verify.

Sorry guys we are falling behind on getting pics of it. We had some fitment issues with the rims that are being address, and have since sent the amuse kit to be painted and are getting the car ready to send to smoky tomorrow morning. Once we get the chance well make sure they are posted for everyone. Thanks for the patience.

Csquared 03-30-2010 08:40 PM

Thanks dude, Ugh the wait is killing me!

JB-370z 04-03-2010 11:21 AM

Any updates on this pics??

Amuse R1 Titan Brace Installed

6 Attachment(s)
Sorry for the Delay! We were so busy with Import Reactor that we hardly had any time to get pictures taken.

The harness has attachments for the driver side in Japan, which is on the right. So, as you can see on this bar, it was flipped over so that they would be on the left side. The attachment points are now on the top on the left side.

The bar does not fit perfectly on the edges (its a little smaller than stock), so we are in the process of having new panels made to address that. Not a huge issue at all, and most won't notice, but still something worth looking at. Other than those 2 issues, we are extremly happy with it, enjoy!

phelan 04-07-2010 01:33 PM

^ ha, so Jay was right about it being for JDM vehicles...XD kind of surprised they didn't do an attachment on both sides, but eh, oh well.

Yea we were suprised too!. It's pretty funny though. We were told at first that attachments would be on both sides, but I guess we were told wrong!!!!

phelan 04-07-2010 02:21 PM

i wanna throw this out there too:

(Š”)ƒpƒ[ƒnƒEƒXEƒAƒ~ƒ…[ƒY - Z34 FAIRLADY Z | PARTS - R1 TITAN BRACE BAR

amuse now makes two versions.

type-1 will be the one BKN has, with the driver side anchor. cost per the website is around $800 bucks. i guess since they did it, you can flip it over for us left hand drive people.

type-2 is a decorative piece only, which may be more suitable for those going for the 'bling factor' only  it costs $560, and no, it cannot be converted over to the type-1 later on, as it's decorative only (if i'm reading it right, it's a hollow pipe bar).

hope that helps anybody looking at these!

NOTE: cost quoted on the website is obviously not inclusive of fees associated with import and shipping of these products. don't go asking for a bar for $800 shipped. you're not gonna get it...unless you have hookups in which case, PM me, i have a few things i want to order...

Csquared 04-07-2010 08:48 PM

oh looks interesting, I wonder if I should get one too. So the Type one is not hallow, but type 2 is? Is the stock hollow?

OMGWTFBBQ 04-11-2010 12:23 PM

Maybe they purposely made it smaller on the sides so that the interior plastics wont scuff up that beautiful titanium burnt finish. :D
