H&R Springs Anyone ?
Im real close to purchasing these new H&R springs for the 370 and was wondering if anyone out there is or has heard of people running this on their cars.
The reason I decided to go with the H&R springs is because they are a little bit stiffer than the Eibachs and drop the car 1.3" up front and 1", which would look killer on with some 20mm spaced out Sport wheels. This kit will definitely need a camber kit up front, but I was wondering if I will need them in the rear as well ? Any thoughts/input would be appreciated ! |

You definitely want camber kit for the rear, not sure if you need them for the front. I'm going to see how my front tires wear and wait for spl to bring out a front camber kit. I think it looks better when the front is dropped lower than the rears.

I was thinking of the exact opposite... does anyone have solid info regarding factory camber adjustments ?
Its pretty obvious you cant go back to the factory marks (and besides, it would be pointless because lowering increases grip by adding static camber), but whats the adjustment range that we have to play with, both front and rear from the factory bolts. |

So it would be safe to say that all I really need is the rear camber arms ? |

The coilovers have weak dampening. I feel like I'm just driving on springs. Also they are to dang stiff. My wife actually got motion sickness on a 4 hr road trip on secondary highway system. I may spent money on KWs later but not until I see and ride in a car equipped. I'm familiar with H&R springs from past cars and wife's current car. Also the 1.3" drop will have my car close to where it is now but with a more comfortable setup!
I'll do a quick write up when I get them and install. (I may get NISMO shocks/struts) Thanks on the wheel compliment!! To me I feel these wheels are only meant for the 370Z.

I had H&R on the Z33 and the rule of thumb with the Z33 was that anything over .75" drop in the front would require an upper control arm, IF you want to save your tires and bring the specs back into OEM range. Dunno if that holds true with the Z34. Do a search on Eibach as Lou@Amplifoed posted OEM specs and specs after Eibachs installed, it should give you an idea if you need em or not.
You def want a rear camber kit. I have heard a drop with Eibach (.9" rear) will eat up the rear tires. H&R paired up with Koni yellows was a good match, which is what I was running on the Z33. |

^Good to hear as I have a set of Eibachs sitting in the garage waiting to be installed. I was not looking forward to springing another $500 for SPC upper control arms if I did not have to. And if you were dropped 1.3 in the front with coil overs that makes me feel good to know. Although I do not understand how you could have wear in the rear with a camber kit already installed. Was it the alignment that was off on the toe that made them wear?
I did not have to install the toe bolts on the Z33 setup as they were not needed with the 1.0 drop in the rear with the H&R. And I am not looking to install them on the Z34. They were only needed if really slammed, other than that the OEM settings had enough adjustment. |

Did you install the toe bolt that came with the rear camber kit? Just curious as I do not want to spend the extra labor $$ on having the new toe bolt installed if I can avoid it. It was about a good 90 min to hog out both holes on the Z33.

I think you will find out many lowered z only install rear camber kit because rear tires wear out quicker than the front and because it's easy to adjust and cheap to buy. I also didn't install a toe kit.
