Should i get springs or coilovers (help)
Guys,
Im debating if I should get springs or coilovers. I guess the main question would be if I ever track. I dont... Im basically doing this for looks and to possibly improve handling. Im considering tanabes springs vs megans coilovers. Price wise $250 vs 800. Should I just go for the megans? Please post your opinion.... I cant seem to make my mind up. |

If you are going for looks and street driving then springs are the cheapest option and my recommendation.

If you are going to buy a set of coilovers, then don't go on the cheap. Megan products are poor quality and I would search around before buying anything they sell. If you want coils, go Tein or KW V3s.
I purchased coils not for the track, but to get the ride height that I wanted. Springs just weren't going to lower the car enough. If you would be satisfied with the height that springs provide, I would recommend going that route until the OEM suspension goes. By then you could have saved enough for a proper set of coilovers. No need replacing good suspension, ya know? |

Megan coilovers are not the best for damper control. The settings that they can adjust are very unsensitive. I have owned a set on my 240sx and after riding around for a while I sold them and got some tanabe suspension. Now I have Zeals and they ride great!
