Parking brake assembly

Just wondering if anyone here has moved the parking brake assembly out of the way to install rear spacers with replacement studs. How was it? I'm ordering my 15F/20R spacers and am know I'm going to have to move it out of the way on the install. Can't imagine it'd be too difficult...

I've read you can just bend or grind a part of the parking brake frame to slip the longer bolts in. You shouldn't have to take it apart completely. Just rotate the hub to slip each bolt in through the same spot where you've bent the metal frame. There is a link showing this somewhere in the spacer threads. Can't remember which one it was though.

Has anyone been this route yet? Would really like some feedback from someone that has done this themselves before I attempt the same thing!!

I think I ordered 170 last time at the shop and it was the wrong one. The strange part about it is I don't see the plate lever that came off of mine, its about 2 and a half inches long too. I'll open it up in a few hours and will post pics in case anyone needs help later.

The car looks great, ordered my springs today. Already saw the 15mm spacers on the rear, perfect offset, makes the wheels look real flush with the body, probably going to order mine sometime this week. Saw another car with only 10mm spacers, just wasn't enough. I was wondering how hard it was to get the old studs out and put the new ones in, and how far did the nuts go on to the studs (roughly how many threads), just curious? That's the only reason I haven't ordered them yet. Any input would be appreciated.
:driving: Once again, car looks great, can't wait for my to look like that.:icon18:

The studs came out pretty easy, but needed to unmount the e-brake assembly in order to slide them out and the new ones in. The fronts will not have that problem. There is an e-brake assembly behind the rotor on both sides. It's not that difficult. When the wheel is mounted up it is about the same number of turns on the threads with the longer studs as when it was stock. ;)

May want to contact RCZ, I think he has the same setup. Also Minicobra1 or Lou @ Amplified may have some info.

My spacers are not scheduled for install until late April, so I cannot help with any first hand experience...sry.

Here are install pics of Modshack's 15mm spacers Fr & Rr.
