Are these carbotech XP10/8 pads?
This is very stupid.. but can anyone tell me if these look like carbotech pads (XP10 and XP8 specifically)? Key features are the orange paint on the front pads, the holes on the rear pads, and lack of leading edge chamfers on front or rear pads.
Looking to throw my set of carbotechs back on the car for a track day. The issue is that I’m not sure if these are the carbotechs or the crappy auto store pads that I had laying around… and I can only find one of the sets of pads. Don’t want to mistakenly put the sh*t pads on for a track day… https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...ea747f86de.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...7421b2774f.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...730af13f50.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...7669ea99a7.jpg Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
One way to tell might be from any squealing noise while driving on the street. How noisy are the pads you have installed currently?

Quote:
EBC yellowstuffs barely squeal. I’ll know right away from driving the car based on the squeal like you said. Was just trying to avoid having to swap pads again before this Thursday. Just saw an ad for someone selling carbotechs for a corvette. XP10s with orange paint, XP12 with blue. I guess I have my answer! Also found this on a subaru forum: 1521-Red (Bobcat) AX6-Black XP8-Silver XP10-Orange XP12-Blue XP16-Yellow Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
