Carbotech XP12

I just got around to installing my new set of track pads for the year XP12/XP10 and noticed the backing plate on the XP12's was blue? I think I have

Default Carbotech XP12

I just got around to installing my new set of track pads for the year XP12/XP10 and noticed the backing plate on the XP12's was blue? I think I have only seen red backing plates before. The part numbers matched up and they feel like the right pad so far but was curious if they switched or maybe they use both blue and red?
