Metallic Squeak coming from Driver rear
Hello all, just acquired my first Nismo! After driving it for a few days I noticed a strange noise. When pulling out of a spot my driver side rear seems to squeak almost like an old mattress.
So I did some diagnosing. The sound is being produced from longitudinal and lateral movement. In my diagnosing I found that going over bumps does not produce the squeaking noise, while applying throttle or turning does. On top of this, letting out the clutch in second gear and having the car jolt forward and back will create the sound 100% of the time. The car currently has a street pro R200 LSD and in tight turns the squeak follows in line with wheel chirp. The cars currently has these mods installed: Swift lowering springs 20mm Z1 spacers in front and rear Z1 oil cooler Bell raceworks differential brace R200 prostreet LSD Hayaku Axles Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated. I'm planning on putting the car on stands this afternoon and figuring this thing out! I think i'll put it in gear and see if the sound will still be produced if the suspension is not under load! :driving: |
I had a noise like this from the front drivers side. Turned out to be the brake dust shield occasionally rubbing on the rotor. Adjusted the shield and no noise since.
