Default Alignment can't be adjusted?

6 months ago I had an alignment done and stupidly asked the tech to get the rear camber to -3 degrees.

They did.

I wanted to put the alignment back to factory spec, so I took it back to them and told them to adjust it.

They said they couldn't adjust it at all.

Since the rear camber bolts were "maxed out", it doesn't matter what direction they turn it, it'll increase the negative camber until the bolt comes out. They recommend I go aftermarket for adjustable camber arms and take it to another shop.

After about 15 minutes of arguing and having them show me what they meant, I still don't understand how that's possible.

Anyone experience this before?
