OZ is a forum O.G. and was hitting you with the sarcasm. His build thread (linked in his signature) is a great example of multiple Z mods done right, including suspension.

The Z rides great stock and to lower it PROPERLY cost more than a set of springs. Like most products, cheaper price usually extends into everything about the product aka not the best (maybe even not that good). Can you lower the car on those springs? Yes. Will it lead to a harsher ride? Most likely. Will your tire wear be out-of-whack? For sure.

These are suggestions from wise Z brethren, but you can do you.

FWIW you can actually cut linear springs to lower a vehicle without the ride suffering. Horrible idea to cut progressive rate springs.
