Koni strut install question

Have an 2009 touring coupe, been running swift springs on OEM struts for six years, swapped in Koni yellow struts myself, back struts are sitting about the same as before but front is about 4 inches higher than it was, put about 100 miles on so far, is the front gonna come down any lower over time??
If not wondering if I did something wrong on the install, drives and handles
nice and straight, to tighten front and rear bolts I elevated the car under the
swing arms next to the shocks to simulate tires being on the ground, I assume this was ok to do??

4 inches unintended difference means something is very wrong.

U mean 4 or 0.4?

how the hell do you go 4 inches higher OR lower with the same springs and different struts?

Must be a typo. 4" is not possible. Springs would just be flopping around the strut body.

With OEM struts and swift springs I could not put a finger between top of tire and fender, now I can put 4-fingers between, so were the old struts that shot,
did I tighten things up incorrectly, or is the spring installed wrong, after
installing top hat on the bench I could only get a few threads screwed on, after lowering car on the ground and driving a couple miles, I removed strut brace and was able to tighten the the nut on the top of the strut down more. Does not make any weird sounds when driving but something is not right, when re-attaching top mount in the wheel well (the bolt that goes thru the grove on the top swing arm piece) I had to pull down on it quite a bit to reach.
thank you any comments to help,

Do you still have the OEM struts lying around? If so, compare the height of the lower spring perch to the new Koni struts. Did you loosen the bolts on the FUCA during installation? If so, did you tighten them with the suspension hanging down or at ride height?

hey. your spring perch is upside down. it's easy to screw up since the perch slides off easily. i clearly remember this issue on myg37 forums while researching/ prepping for my install. quick pic... https://www.myg37.com/forums/attachm...ront-stock.jpg

I agree with this, a strut with a dedicated spring seat would have not done this unless you installed the spring backwards if that is even possible.

Leads you to the next thing, the perch which is removable. more than likely it's upside down which from the look of it is about an inch in difference, that inch could equate 4 inches of height as the spring sits on it.

Did you get this resolved? I have been thinking of going with the Koni Yellows but I do not want to change my ride height. It is that or going full blown KW-V3's

Yep, had the lower spring perch on upside down, glad to have that sorted out,
ride stance is nice, this is a 2009 touring with 18inch wheels, thanks for the help everyone.
