Mid W Brace Replacement? (HELP Request)

Hello all,

While installing my sway bars yesterday on my 09 Z34, I noticed that the W brace is badly rusted (mid strut brace?). Had anyone have any luck finding an aftermarket replacement or could recommend one?

I would purchase the OEM part but the brace is so badly designed, that it allows for salt & moisture to collect and rust in the circular spot. I am attaching the photo and part number for reference.

Thanks in advance

There is no aftermarket replacement for it. what can do is remove it. Spray it with POR15 to remove the rust. Repaint it. Then spray the inside of it with Fluid Film, and the outside with rattle can undercoating.

Yes there is no replacement for that as Rusty pointed out. The rust will only get worse over time. Treat the rust and repaint it as soon as possible. If you drive your Z in the snow/rain and that area gets exposed to the salt and moisture it will cause rust over time. In the winters in PA best option is to use another vehicle as a daily driver.

Something like this may work?
