Default Kinetix arms

Anyone here using kinetix fucas or camber arms? Any pros or cons that can be pointed out? I know SPL is the go to and everyone will chime in and suggest SPL is hands down the way anyone should go, however I do not intend to track my car and do not need to go overboard on price. Dollar for dollar, are kinetix arms a good investment?

Yeah they are fine. The main downside is that the mounting point needs to come off for camber adjustment, but if it's a set and forget kinda deal, it'll only be a PITA once. And it won't slip either, as a result.

Your alignment tech will hate you. For each adjustment. The arms have to come off. It may take 2 or 3 tries to get the specs where they should be. And the tech just may say fvck it, leave it where it is and fudge the numbers. Seen it done too many times.

The SPL's, you don't have to remove them from the car for adjustment.

Thanks for the info! Does the same information about kinetix hold true with the Z1 fucas?? Do they have to come off to be spec'd?

Yep! The only arms that don't have to come off for adjustment is the SPL's and the VooDoo's I believe.

Had the Voodoo 13 rear chamber arms on my last Z they don’t require removal either Bob is correct. I would sway towards getting the SPL’s though spend the extra coin if you have it. I highly doubt you will break them. I have seen bent rear chamber arms though.

If you still haven't stomached the cost, check these out from GK Tech. They are pretty new, steel instead of aluminum, but still can adjust with them on the car.

Interesting, GK seems to have a bigger presence in Australia. ConceptZ is a distributor but has not listed the arms for Z34. Enjuku is another US distributor.

That FUCA is priced super cheap

I realize that this is an older thread ! But for anyone looking for/shopping Z1 now offers FUCA's that are not only fully-forged pieces that CAN BE ADJUSTED ON THE CAR !! , they are also half the price of SPL's offering. Save yourself some $$ and get a forged fuca at half the cost (they don't come with little titanium bits) which if you ask me arent worth 500 extra bucks

I can't speak to their function, but optically, these look like cheap knock offs of a superior product (SPL) that is proven! Save yourself possible headaches, buy something that is proven and don't roll the dice on suspension bits. Your suspension isn't something that I would recommend cutting costs on.

They look visually different in hand. Adjustment functions in the same way SPL arms do. Z1 took the positive aspects from SPL's offerings and produced a like part at half the cost(while keeping similar manufacturing processes). How do you figure buying a manufacture warranted part as "rolling the dice". Z1 offers an older style arm that is not adjustable on car and I could not find one account of a user having an issue or "failed" component(FUCA) on this site or any other for that matter, they're just not as popular because they do not offer quick & easy adjustments ! Z1 has fixed that with this newly improved offering. I feel the cheap knockoff comment is coming from a materialistic POV and from someone who has shelled out the cash and already has SPL upper arms . Others have already previously mentioned that there is no real problem with the fuca's offered by other companies, they're just hasn't been an offering as easy to use & adjust on the market other than SPL until more recently !!
