Brake/wheel clearance diagrams help
Having trouble reading and understanding brake/wheel clearance diagrams.
I want to order a set of konig countergrams 19x9.5 +25, 19x11 +18, so they will fit a z no problem, and I’m fairly certain they will clear Akebonos (even with a smal spacer if necessary). But my problem is I bought a base model with the intent to buy a wilwood set of brakes. The konig fitment guys say the wheel should clear. And then said that the wilwood caliper has better clearance then an Akebono. Does that make sense considering the wilwood is 6 piston and the Akebono is 4? I have posted an akebonos clearance diagram and the wheel fitment guide for the wilwood kit. Anyone with experience help me out?   Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Wait....
The CZP diagram seems right, the bono front caliper extending 47.5mm past rotor hub (I measured it at just under 2 in) The Wilwood graph is showing caliper only extends 1 inch/25.4mm past the rotor hub? Or I’m reading it wrong...I can learn something new here either way...

I assumed they were close seeing as akebonos are in no way small/light etc. But the way the guy from konig made it sound is that the wilwood would might fit under the 19x10 +25. Trying to confirm how much space I actually have

From what u can see the measurements is too outside corners of the calipers. So just the pure blockyness of the Bono, adds at least 20mm compared to all the sleek, small lightweight aftermarket bbk. Can see from the photo how smaller/tighter package the wilwood is.

If you are trying to figure out clearances, most kits will have templates you can print out to compare against your wheel.
