Did you get an OEM Nismo diff? If you did, the VLSD isn't very good in it. After they get hot, or get some mileage on them. They don't function well. They open up like an open diff. A maintenance free LSD is the Wavetrac. If you want to spend a little more, Get the OS Giken LSD. It's among the best.

Change the upper front control arms so that you can adjust the camber and caster. The SPL arms are the only way to go. As you don't have to remove the arms to make adjustments. Plus they hold the adjustment too.

Get your Z aligned with these spec's.
Front camber -2, caster +6, toe 1/16" in.
Rear camber -1.75, toe 1/16" in.
This will give you a good handling Z without eating up the tires.

Brakes. The 'bono's are a good caliper. Just need good pads, stainless lines and good brake fluid. Most use the Motul 600. I use Castol SRF fluid. It's $$$

You got the Z1 400HP package. To get the most out of it. You have to ditch the Nismo exhaust too. High flow cats, test pipes or LTH's are the way to go. Otherwise, you got a cork in the exhaust.
Thxs for the advice
Adjustable arms are in the plans but not immediately

Are you saying the z1 package won’t be has effective with the nismo cats.
Cause if that’s the case I won’t install until I find a better suited cat back

Yes I bought a nismo diff from a junkyard from a nismo 7at with 12k on it.
The diff looks great and it came with a 1 year warranty

Instead of bitching about drive ways, get coilovers with a cup kit
Then you don’t have to look like a bum

For most NA power, stock suspension is sufficient, I tracked my car on stock suspension for sometime and didn't have any issues putting down my power (boltons and tune), I had only OS LSD, adjustable arms and good rubber.

Nismo diff is the same as sport, no difference, I wouldn't say it is bad, but not good as well, getting helical lsd like quaife or wavetrac or clutch type like OS or Cusco is a better choice if you are paying the money.

Nismo shocks vs Coilovers, I will go 100% with coilovers, you get the adjustability for height and compression.

Everyone will say what a terrible idea but I bought a set of Nismo s tune shocks and springs new for my sport with whiteline sways front and back a few weeks ago and now the feeling of driving a boat has gone away it's firm enough for me and they only lowered me about 10mm, yeah I know you can buy better but there not as bad as what a lot of people say

Just add him to your ignore list, I do it from time to time. No one uses air ride suspensions for performance.

Do as Rusty says for the Diff, that Nismo one won't make you happy.

Nismo cats are the same as the sport and base models. The Nismo cat back exhaust flows a bit better then the sport/base. And most aftermarket exhausts will flow better then the Nismo one. The Z1 400Bhp package replaces the cats but needs a good flowing cat back to as others have said get the most out of it.

This dude is worried about drive ways- do you really think performance is that big a goal? He’s a casual driver

And if he wants performance, a CUP KIT on coilovers also solves his problems
Instead of bitching about feelings listen to what I say

It doesn’t matter what you say, cause it comes with negativity.
I am a casual driver because this is my weekend car. I don’t use my roadster
Everyday I have another car for that. I do know that the z is designed with upgrading in mind so this is why I ask question on this site. I do appreciate
All the good support and suggestions. On the other hand it is my car so
If I choose not to lower than it shouldn’t be frowned upon.

Enjoy living in your fantasy world where you drop thousands of dollars and still have a fuckin convertible on stock suspension

But folks were nice to you so it’s a good idea

I decided to purchase nismo shocks and struts. They were really affordable
And also won’t change my warranty. I’ve driven the nismo 370z and it was
Good for me. Thank you everyone for the great info I learned a lot.
