Rear wheels jumping under heavy braking

If your drive aggressive and have traction control on it will wear the rear pads out quicker because it uses the rear brakes for traction and stability control.

I'm using the DBA T3 5000 (2) piece slotted rotors on the front and the finish on the rotor surface looks perfect although the rears (DBA 4000 T2 1 piece slotted rotors) which have worn faster do show a little "grooving" and not as smooth as the fronts, but nothing bad at all.

I am on my second pair of DBA front rotors because the first ones warped slighty after first track day, (not due to the pads) but I think that has more to do with how the DBA rotors handle the weight of the 370Z which I've also heard isn't the best.
Next time I will go for Z1's (2) piece Akebono rotors which I've been advised will deal better with the 370z's weight and are less likely to warp.
It's been reported that a couple of people had issues with the Z1 2 piece rotors on the track just to let you know.

Thanks Spooler,
I thought that might be the case although I always enable the (partial) traction control button in the car before I set off anywhere. I do realise it only really stops the engine being cut when stabilty is lost and it will still use the brakes.

Thanks Rusty I didn't know that.
Do you recommend any brands that will not warp at the track or ones that are the least likely to?

You would do best if you read through the track section. You will find lots of different opinions. Some like the cyro-treated blanks. I use RacingBrake 2 piece rotors. These will smoke your credit card. One thing, stay away from drilled rotors. These will crack. To manage the heat produced. You will need brake ducts and hoses. The Stillen kit isn't a bad set-up. It uses a 2" hose. With the 2" hose. You can route it easy. When you go to a bigger hose, like 3". You run into clearance issues around some parts.

With the VDC. When the rear starts to step out. It will apply a rear brake caliper to straighten the car out. A lot of times. It's in the WRONG direction. Had this happen when I first started doing trackdays. Had an instructor in the Z with me. Was doing good, and he told me to pick up the pace. So I did. The one turn, I tried to square off the turn some. The rear just started to come out some like I wanted. Next thing I know. We was pointed in the wrong direction and the instructor yelling at me for hitting the brakes mid turn. I had to show him the video play back from my GoPro in the pits on what happened.

Otherwise I’d be checking for a loose suspension component.

It turned out to be worn rose joints on the the traction rods which have now been replaced with hard rubber joints.
I will never include rose joints in any of my suspension, especially for a DD
