need help
I need spacers for the front end to clear the big brake kit I just installed. It barely touching the brake. I was wondering what is the lowest sized spacers I can get without needing the extended wheel studs. big thanks

Here is what Z1 has to say
Extended Studs are required with the 10, 15, and 20 mm spacers. Always check to make sure the lug nut has sufficient thread available on the stud to secure it when installing any wheel spacer or combination of wheel spacers. So maybe the 2.5mm and 5mm are safe? https://www.z1motorsports.com/brakes...mm-p-3118.html Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
The minimum thread engagement length must be greater than the fastener diameter. I don't know what the diameter of the studs are off hand, but you should be able to take measurements to figure out the largest spacer you can use safely.

I don't know if this applies to lug nuts or not but when I was working industrial maintenance, the SOP was to have 1.5 to 2 threads sticking out past the nut on pipe flanges.

I know there is a thread somewhere on the forum with this exact discussion about how many threads is safe for the lugs. I only did a brief search for it, but I know it's around somewhere.
