For those of you who have the non premium Z1 SS lines, how much slack in the lines did you have?

You have to have enough so when you turn the steering wheel all the way to one side. The hose doesn't pull tight.

I had ordered the premium lines and it wasnt working. Called Z1 and they told me the base and sport Z's had different hardlines and that I needed to order those too. Decided Ill just go with the non premium lines. Z1 told me that theres alot of slack on the non premium lines, so I was wondering just how much slack

Be careful how you secure the braided lines around the face of the steering hub. Experience taught me that I needed to secure mine so that they do not rub on the wheel barrel as it rotates. It could abrade away and lead to a leak and/or no front brakes. I used a split silicone hose 1.5" length with 304 grade .051 dia. steel wire tied to the steering hub on one of the former factory hose clamping locations. This keeps the brake hose clear of the wheel barrel at all times. A cheap fix but very effective.
